Éguilles, Heritage Night 2014
Client:
City of Éguilles
Date:
2014
One summer night, a violent storm erupts over Éguilles, and lightning strikes the castle clock. The impact shatters the clock into four pieces, freezing time and the inhabitants of Éguilles, as each piece is hurled into four unknown worlds.
It is then that the lamppost, which has been there all along, begins to twinkle and finally reveals its true source of light: a brilliant and astonishing firefly that will escape and guide the audience into the heart of a wild adventure. With the help of a narrator, the audience will write their own story. They will have to make choices and energize the firefly by waving real light sticks. This is an opportunity to teleport to various fantastical worlds: Roman times, the Middle Ages, an Inca temple, the Wild West, and a futuristic Éguilles.
In this magical quest, the residents of Éguilles must find all the pieces of the clock to restore time to the town and free themselves from this predicament, having been struck by lightning and frozen in the town hall square.
With a fantastical theme, the audience will playfully rewrite history using local heritage, creating completely unexpected situations in Éguilles. A live performance where the audience is the sole actor. An invitation to experience a rich and unique adventure, worthy of a true theme park!
